Deleting Your Metaintro Account
If you have decided that you no longer need your Metaintro account, this article walks you through the deletion process, what happens to your data, and an alternative if you are not ready for a permanent goodbye.
How to Request Account Deletion
Account deletion is handled by our support team to ensure security and prevent unauthorized requests. To delete your account:
Send an email to support@metaintro.com from the email address registered with your Metaintro account
Use the subject line "Account Deletion Request"
In the body of the email, confirm that you want your account and all associated data permanently deleted
Our support team will respond within 48 hours to confirm receipt of your request. You may be asked to verify your identity before the deletion is processed.
What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:
Profile information -- your name, email, location, and career preferences
Resumes -- all resumes created or uploaded through the resume builder
Saved jobs -- your entire saved jobs list and any associated notes
Threads conversations -- all conversation history with the AI career assistant
Job matches and recommendations -- personalized results generated based on your profile
Notification preferences -- all email and alert settings
This action is irreversible. Once your data has been deleted, it cannot be recovered. We recommend downloading any resumes or information you may need before submitting your deletion request.
How Long Does It Take?
The typical timeline for account deletion is:
Initial response -- within 48 hours of your email
Identity verification -- may require one additional email exchange
Deletion processing -- completed within 30 days of confirmation, though most requests are processed much sooner
Confirmation email -- you will receive a final email confirming that your account and data have been removed
Alternative: Keep Your Account Inactive
If you are not entirely sure about deleting your account, consider keeping it inactive instead. Here is why this might be a better option:
No action required -- simply stop using Metaintro. Your account remains safe.
Data preserved -- your resumes, saved jobs, and conversation history stay intact
Easy to return -- sign back in whenever you are ready and pick up where you left off
No cost -- inactive accounts are free and do not receive marketing emails if you have opted out of notifications
You can always request deletion later if you decide inactive is not enough.
Before You Delete
We recommend taking these steps before requesting deletion:
Download your resumes -- save copies of any resumes you created in the resume builder
Note any saved jobs -- record any job listings you may want to revisit
