Why Uploading Your Resume Matters
Metaintro's AI, Marsh, uses every available signal to match you with the best opportunities. While conversational context from your Threads is valuable, your resume provides a structured, comprehensive snapshot of your professional history. The more detail Marsh has, the more precisely it can connect you with roles that truly fit your skills, experience, and career goals.
Without a resume, Marsh relies solely on what you share in conversation. With one, it can cross-reference your stated preferences against your actual background, catching opportunities you might not have thought to ask about.
Resume Best Practices
Before you upload, take a few minutes to make sure your resume is in top shape. These guidelines will help Marsh extract the most value from your document.
Detail Your Experience with Bullet Points
For each role, use concise bullet points that describe your responsibilities and accomplishments. Avoid large blocks of paragraph text. Bullet points help both human readers and AI parse your experience quickly.
Write a Clear Objective or Summary
A two-to-three sentence summary at the top of your resume tells Marsh what kind of role you are targeting. This acts as a high-level signal that influences which listings are surfaced first.
Keep Your Skills Section Up to Date
List technical and soft skills that reflect your current abilities. Remove outdated tools or frameworks you no longer use. An accurate skills section helps Marsh filter for roles that match what you can do today.
Quantify Your Achievements
Whenever possible, include numbers. "Increased quarterly revenue by 18%" is far more informative than "Helped grow revenue." Quantified achievements give Marsh concrete data points to work with.
Maintain Consistent Formatting
Use the same font, heading style, and date format throughout. Consistent formatting ensures that the AI parser correctly identifies sections, dates, and role titles. Avoid tables, multi-column layouts, or heavy graphics that can confuse automated parsing.
How to Upload Your Resume
The upload process takes just a few seconds:

What Happens After Upload
Marsh parses your resume and indexes key information including job titles, companies, skills, education, and certifications. This data enriches every Thread you start. You do not need to re-upload unless your resume changes.
Updating Your Resume
Landed a new certification? Switched roles? Upload an updated version at any time. The new file replaces the previous one, and Marsh adjusts its matching accordingly.
Tips for Maximum Impact
Tailor your resume before uploading. If you have multiple versions for different industries, upload the one that matches your primary search focus.
Combine resume data with Thread filters. Your resume provides background context while filters narrow results in real time. Together, they create a powerful search experience.
Review Marsh's suggestions. After uploading, start a Thread and see which roles Marsh prioritizes. If the results are not aligned, refine your resume summary or skills section and re-upload.
