Metaintro Threads: Your Conversational Job Search

Account & Profile

What Is a Thread?

A Thread is an individual conversation between you and Metaintro's AI. Think of it as a dedicated chat session focused on a specific job search. Each time you start a new conversation, you create a new Thread.

Threads are the core of how you interact with Metaintro. Instead of filling out forms or applying filters on a traditional job board, you simply describe what you are looking for in natural language, and the AI responds with tailored job matches, career advice, and actionable insights.

How Threads Work

Creating a New Thread

To start a new Thread, simply begin typing in the chat bar on the Metaintro homepage or dashboard. Every new conversation automatically becomes its own Thread. You can also click the new conversation button to start fresh.

Type your question or request in the chat input

One Thread Per Job Search

The recommended approach is to use one Thread for each distinct job search. For example:

  • Thread 1: "Remote frontend developer roles paying $120k+"

  • Thread 2: "Product manager positions in Austin, TX"

  • Thread 3: "Entry-level data analyst jobs in Europe"

This keeps your conversations organized and allows the AI to maintain context about each specific search without mixing up your criteria.

Unlimited Threads

There is no cap on the number of Threads you can create. Whether you are exploring two career paths or twenty, you can maintain a separate conversation for each one. This is especially useful if you are considering different industries, locations, or role types.

Managing Your Threads

Accessing Thread History

All your previous Threads are stored and accessible from the Threads section in the left sidebar. Click on any past Thread to reopen it, review the job matches you received, and continue the conversation where you left off.

What You Can Do in a Thread

Within any Thread, you can:

  • Ask for job recommendations based on specific criteria

  • Refine your search by adding new requirements or preferences

  • Ask follow-up questions about specific roles or companies

  • Request salary insights, company information, or market trends

  • Upload your resume for more personalized matching

Can You Delete Specific Prompts?

Currently, you cannot delete individual prompts or messages within a Thread. The full conversation history is preserved to maintain context and ensure the AI can reference earlier parts of the conversation for better results. If you want to start fresh with different criteria, simply create a new Thread.

Tips for Getting the Most from Threads

  • Be specific in your first message — include job title, location, salary range, and work arrangement preferences to get the best initial results.

  • Use follow-ups to refine — if the first set of results is not quite right, tell the AI what to adjust rather than starting over.

  • Keep separate Threads for separate goals — mixing unrelated job searches in one Thread can confuse the context.

  • Revisit old Threads — the AI remembers the conversation, so you can come back days or weeks later and pick up where you left off.

  • Name your searches mentally — since each Thread represents a different search direction, thinking of them by topic helps you stay organized.

Threads make your job search feel like a conversation rather than a chore. Start a new Thread whenever you have a new career question or direction to explore.
